Andrew Van WynGarden is the lead singer bro of MGMT, the popular indie band that sings hit songs like "KIDS", "Time 2 Pretend" and "Electric Eels." Anyways, they got 'tons of shit' because their album Congratulations didn't meet consumer/critical expectations, so now every1 is all like "Why don't u write hits any more, yall?" Not sure what is next for their career, probs just chilling on tour for a long time, throwing down some bloggable memes.
Anyways, they played at some music festival and dressed like Scooby Doo. Seems kinda unchill, cuz they didn't really vibe out in a 'bro costume.' Even though their last album didn't do so well critically, he is still moving forward because he has a major label contract and will get paid no matter what... Anyways, maybe he isn't doing that well because he DJed an empty roller skating rink during Coachella. Hopefully it was sponsored by a company that is making rollerblades and wants to expose them to alternative markets and they paid him thousands of dollars.
